Zombie NOT on H2?

A couple days ago I told you all that word on the street had Rob Zombie returning to the world of Michael Myers for HALLOWEEN 2. While we still await the promised press release, we’re getting a much different tone elsewhere.

Sequel-Buzz recently caught up with HALLOWEEN star Scout Taylor-Compton and asked her about all this ‘Zombie back on HALLOWEEN’ talk. Here’s what Compton (pictured) had to say:

“Where did you hear that from?… Oh, I’m so sick of this. People need to stop believing what they read on Internet. I’m somewhat close with Rob and believe me, if there was any truth to this…I’d know.”

Hmm. Interesting. Then again, in turn of her bashing on the internet, isn’t it trendy for people in the film industry to deny, deny, deny until there’s an official announcement made? I beleive it is. Now Scout Taylor-Compton is gorgeous, and I’ve had no problem with her in anything she’s done, but ‘somewhat close’ doesn’t necessarily mean Zombie would go running to the phone to let her know he’s signed up for Part 2.

The only way we’ll know if Zombie is directing HALLOWEEN 2 for sure is to hear it straight from Dimension Films. So we’ll keep a lookout for that. Keep it here for any updates as soon as we hear them.
