With DIARY OF THE DEAD rocking the big screen, it’s no surprise there’d be some rip-off documentary-style zombie flicks coming our way… but this soon? That was fast!
While not entirely the same thing, AMERICAN ZOMBIE is a documentary about zombies living among us in Los Angeles – but on a more comedic level than DIARY – which actually makes this work pretty damn well.
The new poster for the flick came out today to promote its limited theatrical run – considering the film’s budget, I’d say it’s not bad… not bad at all!

More specifically, AMERICAN ZOMBIE is about a couple of filmmakers who team up to shoot a documentary about high-functioning zombies living in Los Angeles and their struggles to gain acceptance in human society. Nice! After checking out the trailer, I can tell this is one to keep an eye on…
