Make no mistake, Rob Zombie didn’t pander to fanboy outcries and rewrite his upcoming HALLOWEEN reimagining script based on the negative reviews that have surfaced. In fact, he tells the Rue Morgue blog “There’s no truth to anything ever. I actually don’t have any idea what’s going on online because I would say it’s always about 99 percent nonsense. I don’t have to pay any attention to that because it doesn’t mean anything. People don’t really know how movies are made or what goes on or the things that change, the channels that things go through…” He rewrote it based on a studio exec threatening the lives of him and his family, just like any other self-respecting filmmaker. Real filmmakers only drop trou and get metaphorically sodomized by studio executives, kids. And don’t you forget it. Other than clearing up the negative script reviews issue, he spits a few pearls on a few other things. Check it out HERE. The film opens August 31st.
