It looks like Sony Pictures will be giving you a chance to see Robert Englund, Jenna Jameson (below) and a bunch of undead strippers on a 30-foot tall screen! Yes, ZOMBIE STRIPPERS (which Jared last told you about here) is getting a special, limited theatrical release! (Is it wrong of me to feel a little weird about saying “Strippers” and “release” in the same sentence?) What’s the catch? Well, the flick will only be running for two days (April 18th & 25th) in fifteen cities (shown below).
But don’t let your “hopes” go flaccid yet! The fifteen locations are MAJOR cities, so with any luck, you’ll be close by to at least one! I say, make a day out of it! Take a road trip out to the closest ZOMBIE-STRIPPER-showing theater, watch the flick, then hit the nearest nudie bar on the way home and see if you prefer your “dancers” with or without a pulse! Hey, it’s just an idea and I bet nobody can say they ever had a day like that!
Now, just a quick reminder of the genius plot: In the not too distant future a secret government re-animation chemo-virus gets released into conservative Sartre, Nebraska and lands in an underground strip club. As the virus begins to spread, turning the strippers into “Super Zombie Strippers” the girls struggle with whether or not to conform to the new “fad” even if it means there’s no turning back.
