Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer in the mix to direct Ghostbusters 3

Columbia Pictures hasn’t given up on bringing us another GHOSTBUSTERS film yet, and now it seems they have set their sights set on another in-house director to take the reigns for Ivan Reitman, who stepped out of the director’s chair after the passing of Harold Ramis.

The Wrap is reporting that ZOMBIELAND director Ruben Fleischer is just the latest name to be thrown into the mix for the GHOSTBUSTERS 3 directing job, following Phil Lord and Chris Miller's supposed involvement which seemed to have come to an end back in April. States The Wrap:

[Fleischer] is also being considered to direct Ghostbusters III for Sony, for whom he directed Zombieland and 30 Minutes or Less, though that project isn't heading into production nearly as soon.

Fleischer would be a decent choice to helm GHOSTBUSTERS 3 as his ZOMBIELAND carried a similar fun tone. Plus he has a working relationship with Bill Murray and may be able to convince him to return (fingers crossed).

Who knows when (or even if) we'll ever see GHOSTBUSTERS 3 happen? If it is to go forward, do you think Fleischer is a good choice to direct? Spit some bullets below and let us know what you think!
