Leave it to Rob Zombie make a “CSI: Miami” episode entitled “LA”. Well, perhaps it’s fitting because it actually shot in LA, as the show’s team travels to California to clear the name of a colleague.
According to Zombie’s Twitter page, shooting wrapped two days ago. According to his Myspace page, ZZ TOP guitarist Billy Gibbons will be making an appearance in the episode, joining the likes of Michael Madsen, William Forsyth, Kristina Klebe, and Malcolm McDowell. The show’s main stars are David “sunglasses on, sunglasses off” Caruso and Emily Procter (pictured below)
Here’s the full synopsis for the episode, which surprisingly sounds fairly routine:
In the episode, the CSI team discovers that a listening device has been covertly planted at a crime scene, capturing a terrifying soundtrack of the murder and, possibly, the voice of the killer. However, when it’s revealed the bug was planted by the team’s own Jesse Cardoza, the State’s Attorney tosses the taped evidence and uncovers accusations of evidence tampering by Jesse on a murder case in Los Angeles. With the integrity of his team at stake, Horatio Caine and Eric Delko travel to Los Angeles to dig into that murder and clear Jesse’s name. While in Los Angeles, Horatio find himself face to face with secrets from Jesse’s past and a dangerous element within the LAPD.
Executive producer Marc Dube says that “LA” will open at a macabre costume party, which seems perfect for Zombie’s vision. “We thought opening the episode at a macabre party, with Miami attendees all wearing stylized masks (a la “Eyes Wide Shut”) would be a fun kick-off point for Rob do to what he does best — conveying the cruel and creepy underbelly of humanity.”
I have a feeling this particular episode of “CSI: Miami” will be watched be a whole slew of people who have never seen a single episode of it before. You can count me among them. It airs on MARCH 1st.
