Zooey Deschanel has signed on to co-star in the upcoming Universal comedy YOUR HIGHNESS for director David Gordon Green (PINEAPPLE EXPRESS). Deschanel joins Danny McBride, James Franco and Natalie Portman in the film about a lazy prince (McBride) who must save his father’s kingdom with the help of his heroic brother (Franco).
Wait. Did I just say that Zooey Deschanel and Natalie Portman were to be co-starring in the same movie? Warning: Possible Cute Overload. This could only be surpassed perhaps by a movie about kittens frolicking around in a sun-drenched meadow.
In the film Zooey and Natalie will play lesbian lovers the respective love interests of Franco and McBride’s characters. The film, which was written by McBride and Ben Best, will start filming later this month in Northern Ireland.
