I wasn’t expecting much out of this summer’s John Cusack thriller 1408 until I saw the trailer – and then I was pretty much spooked. The movie has been doing quite a bit of test screening and from what I’ve been hearing out of NYC, they still haven’t settled on the ending. They shot a number of different options and are seeing how things play out. But Dimension Films liked what they saw enough to put the film’s release up to the thick of the summer (June 22). The poster has just been released and the image out of context wouldn’t be very scary but somehow it works. Probably because it reminds me of Room 237 – the scariest hotel room in the history of the world. Take a look at the poster below (which you can click on to enlarge) and keep your eyes out for more on this Stephen King thriller.
