The 75th annual Primetime Emmy Nominations find HBO leading the charge as Hollywood prepares to honor excellence in the industry.

2023 Emmy nominations, The Last of Us, Succession

It’s that magical time of the year when we call attention to excellence in the entertainment space by announcing the 75th annual Primetime Emmy Nominations! The yearly celebration finds HBO having its run of the list with nominations for shows like The Last of UsSuccession, and The White Lotus topping the charts. Unsurprisingly, Succession is getting its flowers with an Outstanding Drama Series nomination and several nods in the actor/actress categories. Looking at the list, HBO is entering a Mortal Kombat-like mirror match as the network finds several of its shows competing against one another directly, including House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, and The White Lotus, in addition to AndorThe Crown, and Yellowjackets.

Regarding laughs, shows like Abbott ElementaryThe BearOnly Murders in the BuildingTed LassoWednesday, and more square off in the Outstanding Comedy Series category. Meanwhile, the limited series category is heating up, with several worthy contenders stepping into the ring, including Netflix’s Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer StoryDaisy Jones & The SixFleishman Is in Trouble, and more.

The 75th annual Emmy Awards ceremony is scheduled for a live broadcast on Fox on September 18. However, with the writers strike and looming SAG-AFTRA camaraderie, plans for the event could change if no one is available to attend and accept awards.
