9 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage from Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

We are only a couple of weeks away from Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, a sequel a lot of us have been waiting nine years for! The green screen machine went to task for this one; it still amazes me that actors perform like they do when they can’t see what’s actually in the scene. Wrap your head around this one: it’s been said that the characters Dwight (Josh Brolin) and Marv (Mickey Rourke) share scenes together, but the actors playing them didn’t even meet! What’s real anymore!?

So to hold use over a bit longer, here’s 9 minutes of behind-the-scenes B-Roll footage from SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. The finished product looks like a slick piece of art that I can’t wait to see. Some are saying it doesn't look to offer up much in the way of something new; the movie was damn near perfect the first time, I say let's give it another go.

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR hits theaters on August 22nd, 2014 and stars (deep breath): Mickey Rourke as Marv, Jessica Alba as Nancy, Bruce Willis as Hartigan, Rosario Dawson as Gail, Jaime King as Goldie/Wendy. Eva Green as Ava Lord, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Johnny, Dennis Haysbert as Manute, Christopher Meloni as Mort, Jeremy Piven as Bob, Stacy Keach as Wallenquist, Jamie Chung as Miho, Ray Liotta as Joey, Juno Temple as Sally, Julia Garner as Marcy, and Josh Brolin as Dwight.
