We’re still a couple of months out from the release of Avengers: Doomsday, but the follow-up has begun adding new members to its cast. Deadline reports that Noah Jupe (Hamnet) has signed up for Avengers: Secret Wars, which will kick off production later this year.

Who Will Noah Jupe Play in Avengers: Secret Wars?

It’s not known who Jupe will play in Secret Wars, but Deadline reports that his character will be a “key part” of the story. Interesting.

Could he be a member of the X-Men? A grown-up Franklin Richards? A young Happy Hogan in a flashback?

As with Doomsday, Joe and Anthony Russo will once again be directing Secret Wars, which is set to hit theaters on December 17, 2027.

Avengers: Secret Wars Will Streamline the MCU

The Multiverse Saga has taken us to many different universes and realities, and for many fans, it’s become a bit too much. But Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased that Secret Wars will be something of a fresh start.

Avengers 5 and Avengers 6 are heavily inspired by the Marvel Comics storylines Time Runs Out and Secret Wars. So—as is tradition—the comics provide major guidance for the movies we want to make,” he said. “We actually want to accomplish two things: first, to wrap up storylines that began long before Iron Man, including the original X-Men characters. Second, to simultaneously set the stage for the future. Endgame was truly an ending, after which we tried and experimented with many new things. But Avengers 6 will be a beginning. It will establish a streamlined, simplified, single universe for us to follow. Some elements will feel familiar, but many, many things will be brand new.

Avengers: Doomsday

Before we get to Secret Wars, we’ve got Avengers: Doomsday to look forward to. The stacked cast of the Marvel flick includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, Simi Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer as Hank McCoy, Lewis Pullman as Bob, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Erik Lehnsherr, Alan Cumming as Kurt Wagner, Rebecca Romijn as Raven Darkhölme, James Marsden as Scott Summers, Channing Tatum as Remy LeBeau, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, and Robert Downey Jr. as Victor von Doom. The film is set to hit theaters on December 18.
