I discovered Mitch Hurwitz’s Arrested Development while deployed to Iraq, sitting in a 6×9 metal can with my laptop on my chest. I watched every episode of every season one after the other whenever I could squeeze them in and when it was over I was truly disappointed as there was no more coming. The show had been cancelled, leaving behind three seasons of absolute comedy brilliance that can be watched and re-watched over and over again without ever losing its luster. However, those reruns are about to get a new best friend, also known as a fourth season, courtesy of Netflix, and I couldn’t be more pleased to return to the batshit insanity that is the Bluth family.

A brilliant cast led by Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Tambor, Julie Walters, Will Arnett, David Cross, Michael Cera, Jessica Walter, Portia de Rossi, and Tony Hale, with the smooth voice narration of director Ron Howard, with some awesomely clever, hilarious, and twisted stories make Arrested Development one of the finest TV comedies ever produced. And, with that, today we have a sampling of some promo “character” posters that draw from the various personalities, themes, and characterizations of the cast. If you’re a fan of the show, you’ll have fun making the connections. If you’re new, don’t worry. Once you jump in it’ll all become clear.

Arrested Development season 4 debuts the entire run on Netflix starting May 26, 2013.
