Supernatural is knocking on Heaven’s door with final season trailer

A while back, I decided to start watching my way through the entire run of the CW series Supernatural. I've been stalled out in the middle of season 6 for a bit, but I do intend to get back to watching the show soon, as I loved the first five seasons. When I started watching Supernatural it seemed like the show was going to go on forever, it's been on so long already, but now when my watching resumes I know when the end is coming.

Season 15 begins airing on the CW this Thursday, October 10th, and it is the show's final season.

In anticipation of the final season premiere, the CW has released a trailer that looks back at memorable moments from the last 14 seasons, all set to a cover of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door". If you're a longtime fan of Supernatural, I wouldn't be surprised if this trailer managed to stir up some tears.

Season 15 will consist of 20 episodes, and it has the following synopsis:

Picking up here we left off last season, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are left to defend the world after all the souls in Hell have been released and are back on Earth and free to kill again.

Even though I'm so far behind on the show and only became a fan within the last couple years, I'm a bit sad to see it ending. But I'm interested in seeing what Padalecki and Ackles do next. Especially if they're going to be doing wacky stuff like Padalecki starring in a reboot of the Chuck Norris series Walker, Texas Ranger.
