I’m a huge fan of MORTAL KOMBAT and DC, so when it was announced years ago that they were going to rival MARVEL VS. CAPCOM with MORTAL KOMBAT VS. DC UNIVERSE I was ecstatic! And while the resulting game wasn’t terrible, it also left a lot to be desired. So it’s heartening to see that they’re sort of doing a round-about remake with the current INJUSTICE games – adding MORTAL KOMBAT characters to the DC Universe (albeit an alternate dystopian one). They’ve already added Sub-Zero, and no Raiden is getting into the fray. Even though, not going to lie, I’m not a huge fan of that open-shirt look…
Not only that, but it looks like another lighting-based fighter BLACK LIGHTNING is also available as DLC. I’m curious to see how they compare and contrast. Though I’m confident in NetherRealm studios to pull this off. The only downside is the constant buying of DLC. Hopefully there’ll be a version you can buy with all the content already prepackaged.
