To some, the Disney animation renaissance of the 1990's was the best thing since Leonardo da Vinci. They were pumping out timeless classics that help raise the VHS generation. These Disney toons shaped the way animation films are made today and amongst these classics, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is considered royalty. It was the first animated film to be nominated for Best Picture at The Oscars and made a monstrous amount of money at the box office. Who knew that a ferocious fuzzball and some dancing dishes would capture the heart of millions? It made such an impact that it had to be remade/rebooted/revamped with real living human being actors and an excruciating amount of CGI. Now the Beast is back and breaking the box office again, so before you go and give Mickey your money (yet again) catch up on Disney's original animated masterpiece on the latest episode of JoBlo's POP-UP MOVIE FACTS.
