Set in the future, LOGAN follows the titular character (Hugh Jackman) and Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) as they must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world. While Logan's healing abilities are slowly fading away and Xavier's Alzheimer's is forcing him to forget, Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of himself. You can catch a new glimpse of our hero below, uploaded by director James Mangold himself.

We've seen a lot of gritty, black-and-white photos from LOGAN thus far, and I feel that's Mangold's way of trying to set us up for the vibe he's going for. The film certainly seems to harken back to the likes of 3:10 TO YUMA and WALK THE LINE, more so than THE WOLVERINE. As far as I'm concerned, I'm more than okay with that. Mangold's comfort zone lies within those smaller, character-driven films than the likes of spectacle. Hopefully that'll result in a solid Wolverine-solo flick.

LOGAN opens in theaters on March 3, 2017.
