In the realm of motion capture, Maz is hardly what we'd call a "breakthrough character", so I'll be curious to see if she has a larger role to play in EPISODE VIII. Frankly, I'm sure we could do without her, but maybe Rian Johnson can give her something more interesting to do. Then again, he does have his hands full in transforming Captain Phasma into someone audiences can actually care about.
