AMC renews Better Call Saul for a third season

Vince Gilligan pulled off something amazing with Breaking Bad, not only did he wrap the show up under his own terms at the height of its popularity, but Breaking Bad actually managed to improve season after season. Following up one of the best television shows of all-time with a prequel seemed like a really bad idea to me, but Gilligan has proved me wrong as Better Call Saul has become a great show in its own right and a worthy companion to Breaking Bad. AMC has an equally high opinion of the show, which is currently in the middle of its second season, as they've just announced that Better Call Saul will be returning for a ten-episode third season.

What Vince, Peter, Bob and the entire team have accomplished with ‘Better Call Saul’ is truly rare and remarkable. In case you're not familiar with what Better Call Saul is all about, the show is set a number of years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) met up with Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) when he was known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny and hustling to make ends meet. The series chronicles Jimmy's transformation into the man who puts the "criminal" in criminal lawyer.
