Pom Klementieff’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 role revealed

A couple of days ago, Pom Klementieff was cast in a mysterious role in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2, but her role in the sequel is no longer secret, as Deadline has confirmed that the OLDBOY actress will indeed be playing Mantis.

According to Marvel Comics Database, some of Mantis' powers include telepathy, the ability to sense the emotions of others in the form of psychic "vibrations," astral projection, chlorokinesis, pyrokinesis, precognition and self-healing, and she's also an expert martial artist. Her origin story is a little complicated though, so I wouldn't be surprised if director James Gunn makes a few changes to the character for her first big screen outing.
