Bill Murray to appear in Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot

Ghostbusters Paul Feig Bill Murray Banner

Bill Murray was seen on Friday making his way to the GHOSTBUSTERS set in Boston, and THR has confirmed that the actor will appear in the reboot from director Paul Feig. The site doesn't have any details on how much screen time he'll have or if he will be reprising his Dr. Peter Venkman role, but Murray is more than likely just shooting a cameo for the film.

This news isn't sitting well with hardcore GHOSTBUSTERS fans, who already weren't too happy with the plans for the movie. For decades, Bill Murray has been saying no to a third installment, so some fans are more than a little annoyed (and have been acting like Murray killed their pets) that he will have a cameo in the reboot. Personally, his involvement doesn't change my opinion on him or the upcoming film. I'm not too high on the movie, however I'm still going to give it a chance, and to me, this just sounds like Murray being, well, Murray.

I know you guys all have something to say, so let's hear it: what are your thoughts on Bill Murray reportedly cameoing in the GHOSTBUSTERS reboot?

GHOSTBUSTERS is set to open on July 22, 2016.
