The Lone Gunmen to return for The X-Files revival

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Three of The X-Files' most popular recurring characters are set to return for the upcoming X-Files revival; it has been announced that Richard "Ringo" Langly, Melvin Frohike, and John Fitzgerald Byers, better known as The Lone Gunmen, will officially be returning to the show. Dean Haglund (Richard Langly) spoke in Australia saying that "Well, today they contacted us. We’re shooting July 28. The gunmen are in the final 6." Haglund later confirmed the news on his Twitter.

Those familiar with The X-Files may question just how The Lone Gunmen will return but you know what they say, no one ever stays _ _ _ _ on The X-Files. As the show is still shooting in Vancouver, the casting news doesn't end here; most recently, Robbie Amell (The Flash) and Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) joined the cast as Agent Miller and Agent Einstein respectively. Additionally, Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), life-long X-Files fan and host of The X-Files Files podcast, had all his geek dreams come true as he will appear in an episode of The X-Files revival. Luuuucky.

The X-Files revival will premiere on Fox on January 24, 2015 for a six-episode event series.
