Earlier this month we got a sneak peak at SPECTRE with Sony Pictures' first video blog, showcasing Daniel Craig getting into some action among the Austrian alps. The second video blog is here, and this one gives us some insight on why director Sam Mendes decided to direct the follow-up to SKYFALL. There's plenty of cool shots with Daniel Craig and Ralph Fiennes, so check out the promo below!

Sam Mendes on why he chose to direct SPECTRE:

The reasons I’m doing the second Bond movie are the reasons I would do any movie, really, which is all to do with the story. And in this movie, ‘SPECTRE,’ what you have is a movie entirely driven by Bond. He is on a mission from the very beginning. It’s about whether or not to pursue the life he’s always pursued, whether he matters and is he going to continue or not. And you’re going to have to come to see the movie to find out whether he does.

SKYFALL is easly one of the most gorgeous-looking of the Bond pictures and even this behind-the-scenes featurette shows off some stunning locales. A lot of time and effort went into the creation of SKYFALL and I think if SPECTRE follows suit with an equally popular installment (critically and financially), more thought will be put into future installments, rather than Sony just pumping them out all willy nilly (lookin' at you, Brosnan era). Everything thus far looks great, and as long as they keep it up, we'll have another Bond film in theaters in 9 months!

SPECTRE, starring Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Monica Belluci, Dave Bautista, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Léa Seydoux, will hit theaters on November 6, 2015.
