Netflix has released the first trailer for its new comedy series, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I’ve been looking forward to a look at the project since it was announced as I am a big fan of its creator Tina Fey and the folks behind 30 Rock. The show features Ellie Kemper as Kimmy, who escapes a doomsday cult and decides to reclaim her life and start over in New York City.

I’m getting a BLAST FROM THE PAST vibe, which sadly, I can’t say excites me. There will certainly be enough material here for Netflix to carry the show for a few binge-worthy seasons if they decide they want more. In the show Kimmy finds a job working for 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski, a new roommate Tituss Burgess also from 30 Rock. It’s as though Fey wanted to use a winning formula again, I can appreciate that.
The whole show will appear on Netflix on Friday, March 6, and it's already been renewed for a second season.
