After the interstellar trip in Christopher Nolan's latest, Anne Hathaway comes back down to Earth for some family in drama in SONG ONE. In the film, Hathaway portrays a young archaeologist who returns home from a dig in order to see her injured brother and soon strikes up a relationship with his favorite musician. Love, music and good times seem to ensue in this trailer.

About 10 seconds into this trailer I got a real RACHEL GETTING MARRIED kinda vibe, which wasn't bad at all! I enjoyed the style of that flick! It came as no surprise then that this picture was produced by Jonathan Demme. I actually dig the idea of a romance amidst a tragedy (kind makes it all easier to swallow given that she's seeking some sort of comfort), but it has to be handled with delicacy. A trailer generally throws it all in there within a matter of minutes, so who knows how the end result will turn out. I don't think folks will be questioning Ms. Hatheway's performance, that's for sure.

SONG ONE will arrive in theaters on January 23, 2015.
