Jon Hamm and others to star in Black Mirror Christmas special

If you like twisted, but funny and intelligent television, you should definitely check out Channel 4’s Black Mirror. Created by Charlie Brooker (Dead Set, Nathan Barley) Black Mirror is a British anthology series, with a different cast and setting for each episode. Brooker has said his series is “about the way we live now – and the way we might be living in 10 minutes’ time if we’re clumsy,” with others describing it as “a hybrid of The Twilight Zone and Tales of the Unexpected which taps into our contemporary unease about our modern world.”

Channel 4 has announced Mad Men’s Jon Hamm, Rafe Spall (HOT FUZZ, PROMETHEUS), and Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones, Sherlock) will star in a 90-minute Black Mirror Christmas special. The episode (which hasn’t been named yet) will feature three interwoven stories, with Jon Hamm‘s character in the middle of it all. It’ll air on Channel 4 this Christmas, and filming for it starts this week.

I’ve seen both seasons of Black Mirror, and the series is absolutely fantastic. As a huge fan of the show and Charlie Brooker (the dude is incredibly smart and hilarious), I’m very excited to learn more about the special.
