At the end of last month we learned Patrick Wilson was close to joining ANT-MAN, and the actor has now confirmed he has a role in Edgar Wright's upcoming film. Wilson obviously couldn't reveal much about ANT-MAN when he spoke with Screen Rant, however he does say his role is an "important" one, and he has read the script.

Have you tried on a costume?
Wilson: No.

Good or Evil?
Wilson: Can’t tell you.

You’re in the movie though, right?
Wilson: Yeah.

Big role or small role?
Wilson: Important.

Have you read the script?
Wilson: Yes.

When we first discovered the possibility of Patrick Wilson being cast, several of you speculated he might be playing a young Hank Pym in the film. I think there's a very good chance that's who his character will end up being, but really we have no clue what his role will be in ANT-MAN. Patrick Wilson is a great actor, so I'm sure he'll be fantastic as usual, but I'm quite curious to know what his part will be in Edgar Wright's movie.

ANT-MAN starring Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas will be released on July 17th, 2015.
