Tony Jaa is in talks to make his English language film debut in FAST AND FURIOUS 7.

Most of you are familiar with Jaa from the ONG BAK series. If all goes well the Thai action star will join Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson in the next installment. Will be a part of Diesel’s team, or be added on as a villain alongside Jason Statham? The role was not disclosed but Jaa did make a comment on the news:

“I have been a big fan of the Fast and Furious franchise. The films are fast paced, fun and keep the audience involved. There is a great mix of humor and action, something I really appreciate. There is no better film to be involved in for a first U.S. studio production.”

Jaa was asked if he was ready to go head to head with both Diesel and Johnson, and the ultimate question: who would win?

“Having a chance to work with Vin Diesel and The Rock already makes me a winner.”

Series regular Chris Morgan is still writing the script with James Wan set to direct. FAST AND FURIOUS 7 will begin shooting in September with a release on July 11, 2014.
