In advance of an all new trailer hitting the Internet tomorrow, we have two short clips from Ridley Scott‘s THE COUNSELOR starring Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, and Javier Bardem. NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN novelist Cormac McCarthy wrote the original screenplay for THE COUNSELOR that reunites him with the Oscar-winning actor who embodied his masterful villain, Anton Chigurh in Bardem. The teaser we saw gave tantalizing glimpses at Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz looking sexy and serious faces from Pitt and Fassbender. Oh, and Bardem’s crazy ass hairstyle.

These two clips don’t skimp on the serious looks, or the Bardem hair, but they do showcase that intense dialogue that populates every work by McCarthy. There is nothing but two men sharing words of warning with Fassbender’s titular lawyer.

All I know is that McCarthy’s last two novels, THE ROAD and NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, were two of the best novels I have ever read and were turned into two phenomenal films. It is amazing that at the age of 80 he is making his feature film screenwriting debut. From the looks of these clips, it is going to be a doozy.

THE COUNSELOR opens October 25th.
