The latest poster for Spike Lee’s Oldboy keeps it simple

There were definitely some mixed reactions to the trailer. A couple liked what they saw, but for the talk centered on whether the ending would play out as it originally did. I’d like to elaborate, however it wouldn’t be fair to those who have not seen Park Chan-wook’s original. You still have time to see it by the way.

A new poster has hit and it doesn’t seem to scream “Wes Anderson” like the last one did. I didn’t hate it either. This one is a little bit more up my alley. Despite how you feel about the new take on the film, at least the posters don’t have floating heads.

OLDBOY is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.

OLDBOY, starring Josh Brolin, Sharlto Copley, Samuel L. Jackson, and Elizabeth Olsen opens October 25, 2013.
