The new DIE-HARD-in-the-White-House actioner OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN is right around the corner and today we have a new poster and TV spot to warm you up to its impending release.  Starring Gerard Butler as a former secret service agent who must fight off a band of terrorists who have taken the President (Aaron Eckhart) hostage in the White House, the film is the first entry in the competing duo of similarly-themed pics, with the other, WHITE HOUSE DOWN, starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx to follow three months later on June 28, 2013.

OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN, directed by Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY), also stars Angela Bassett, Morgan Freeman, Radha Mitchell, Dylan McDermott, Robert Forster, Melissa Leo, and Rick Yune, who round out what looks to be a fun romp.  Certainly there have been some valid complaints in terms of some of the aerial effects, but overall, this looks to be pretty entertaining, and can’t be much worse than A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD.  Right?

Here’s the TV spot:

And, here’s the poster:

OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN is set to invade theaters on March 22, 2013.

Oh, and here’s a cool infographic that gives a little background into “Olympus.”  Enjoy:
