2012 was not kind to Taylor Kitsch. You can argue that BATTLESHIP and JOHN CARTER weren’t complete failures (when you take in to account their worldwide totals) but I’m sure they haven’t given Kitsch’s career the boost one normally would get from staring in two big budget films. He’s a decent actor and the problems with those movies weren’t necessarily his fault, so I’m glad to see he’s got some more work coming up.

Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive that Taylor Kitsch has signed on to star in a new serial killer movie from Mandalay Vision called EXIT 147. The screenplay is by Travis Milloy (PANDORUM) and will be directed by Julian Jarrold (KINKY BOOTS, ‘1974’ in the television series Red Riding.)

So what’s it about?

A man driving across the desert at night who is arrested by a small town sheriff and held captive as part of his own sadistic game.

Taylor Kitsch will be playing the sheriff but there isn’t any other casting at this time.

I think PANDORUM is very underrated and Julian Jarrold is a solid director so maybe this will be the true “break out” Kitsch needs after the hell he had in 2012.
