Justln Lin may still be busy with FAST SIX, but it looks like he’s got himself another project to move on to after it’s wrapped.
The director will tackle sci-fi thriller, HIBERNATION. For now, the project is being kept under wraps. The only thing we know is that the script is from newcomers Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Will Frank. It will also be set in the future and is said to be “fresh, inventive, and compelling.” Lin will produce under his Perfect Storm Entertainment banner.
Lin seemed to breathe new life into THE FAST AND FURIOUS franchise, especially with bringing someone like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on board. Lin nearly had a chance to direct THE TERMINATOR, but stepped away from that long gestating mess. It should be interesting to see what Lin does with a sci-fi film since he does have to have a bit of range under his belt. Along with FAST FIVE and soon, FAST SIX, he’s done BETTER LUCK TOMORROW, ANNAPOLIS, and some episodes of COMMUNITY.
