Most people recognize Lee Pace as the star of the excellent yet short-lived PUSHING DAISIES or from Tarsem’s underrated THE FALL. Pace is a good actor and looks to be hitting the big time with his role in the upcoming THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY. TheOneRing.net has posted the first glimpse of Pace in character as Elvenking Thranduil. If you don’t know who that is, just know that Legolas also calls him Daddy.

That image as well as our first look at The White Council appear in the upcoming THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY annual magazine. What we can tell from the images is that Peter Jackson has stepped right back into the world he created and looks like not a detail was missed.

It has been a long time since I read THE HOBBIT, but I think I will have to before December 14th to make sure I am not missing anything. What do you think?
