Alison Brie, Nick Offerman, and Megan Mullally take some bong hits in this teaser for Somebody Up There Likes Me

Nick Offerman is synonymous with his role as Ron Swanson on NBC’s PARKS AND RECREATION, and the man deserves the recognition for how damn funny he is. Despite being snubbed again for an Emmy, he continues to do what he does best: make us laugh.

As producer and costar of the SXSW hit SOMEBODY UP THERE LIKES ME, Offerman has taken an unusual approach to promoting the film. Check out this teaser promo featuring Offerman, the gorgeous Alison Brie, and Offerman’s wife Megan Mullally smoking bongs to promote the film.

That alone makes me want to check out SOMEBODY UP THERE LIKES ME.

Plot: Bob Byington’s “Somebody Up There Likes Me” is about a guy who doesn’t grow up. In fact, he doesn’t even age over the film’s span of about three decades in his life. It may have something to do with a mysterious briefcase, the origins of which are only ever suggested by animated cloud interludes and the ethereal implications of the title itself. But that hardly matters, so long as Max (Keith Poulson) keeps bumbling through marriage, money and mortality.

The movie is a quirky indie to the nth degree. Just check out the full trailer and judge for youself.

Whether your cup of tea or not, you have to admit that bong promo was worth a few minutes of your time.

There is no current release date for SOMEBODY UP THERE LIKES ME, but the buzz from this promo (pun intended) should give it a boost.
