Anton Fuqua’s OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN has added more cast members. Joining Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart are Oscar winner Melissa Leo and former Bond villain Rick Yune.

OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN as acquired quite the roster of talent. Butler is an unlikely Secret Service agent trying to stop Korean terrorists who have taken over the White House and hold the President (Eckhart) hostage. Also featured in the film will be Angela Bassett as the director of the Secret Service, Cole Hauser as a Secret Service agent protecting the President., and Radha Mitchell.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leo’s role will be as a tough Secretary of Defense who cracks when tortured. Yune is playing the villain of the movie, a North Korean posing as a South Korean ministerial aide who is described as a sociopathic monster.

This sounds like it would have been an excellent plot for a 24 movie or a DIE HARD sequel. Gerard Butler is better when he plays action roles, so I am looking forward to this one.
