Guess which classic villain returns in the seventh season of Doctor Who

I wrongfully ignored DOCTOR WHO for the better part of my life, passing it off as the stuff of only the geekiest of geeks. It was not until Christopher Eccleston was brought in to the Russel T. Davies/Steven Moffat rebooted series that I saw how cool The Doctor actually was. Through the David Tennant years I saw the balance of humor and darkness grow in the character, but it was not until the current Doctor, Matt Smith, that I became obsessed with the show.

Matt Smith brings something unique to the role of The Doctor that just makes you love the show. It suffers from mediocre special effects sometimes, but the writing and acting completely equal the best episodes of THE X-FILES or BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. If you have not discovered DOCTOR WHO yet, start with the last two seasons of the show (Series 6 and 7) and that is all you really need to get started.

For those of you who already know and love the current Doctor, you should be excited to learn that the upcoming season premiere will be titled “Asylum of the Daleks.” You got it, those computerized alien villains are back in a very ominously titled episode. If you have not seen it already, here is the teaser for the new season and some images from the Western style premiere.
