Bret Easton Ellis and Paul Schrader need a few willing men and women for The Canyons

Who wants to star in a movie about “youth, glamour, sex and Los Angeles”?

Bret Easton Ellis has provided us some good film material (LESS THAN ZERO and THE RULES OF ATTRACTION) and the excellent AMERICAN PSYCHO. Paul Schrader is an auteur who helped bring us TAXI DRIVER and RAGING BULL, amongst others. Now, these two are teaming up for the Ellis penned THE CANYONS.

There is one minor caveat, gentlemen. According to the film’s Facebook page, they are looking to cast both female and male leads who will have “to act and be full frontal naked banging girls and guys realistically.” Any takers? Ellis has even gone as far as to dream cast male porn star James Deen as one of the main characters.

Both Schrader and Ellis are no stranger to dealing with sexually charged material. Paul Schrader’s filmography ranges from stories of the porn world (HARDCORE), prostitution (AMERICAN GIGOLO, TAXI DRIVER), and sex addiction (AUTO FOCUS). Ellis has tackled those same tropes and has the disctinction of having brought us Patrick Bateman filming himself have sex with a prostitute to a Phil Collins song. Enough said.

If you are interested in auditioning for the film, click on the naked bloody Christian Bale and be prepared to match or top the scene that follows (NSFW).
