ACT OF VALOR has a gimmick and it’s a good one- there are real Navy SEALs in this action film. Stars Roselyn Sanchez, Alex Veadov, Jason Cottle and Nester Serrano are actors but for the most part all the soldiers in this movie are actual active duty Navy SEALs.
This is supposed to lend it a feel of realism but to be honest it looks like every other war movie out there, if the trailer is any indication. The film began as a recruiment video that they decided to turn into a feature length film, and None of the SEAL’s names will appear in the credits of the film. Kind of a bum deal, actually, but probably an easier and better paying job than they’re used to.
The trailer’s set to premiere at the Carrier Classic game (whatever that is) but CraveOnline has it early on their site. They don’t allow embedding so head over there to check it out!
