Uh oh, Ryan Gosling is already talking about retirement from acting

Actor Ryan Gosling is dreamy, talented and very much in-demand… and apparently getting sort of tired of the whole thing.

Or he’s expecting to, at least. “I’ve been doing this since I was 12,” Gosling told The Times. “I don’t want to act much longer; I can’t do one thing my whole life. I know there are only so many characters I’ll be able to play. It will be over whenever the inspiration dries up.”

And while we hope that inspiration remains moist for quite some time, Gosling has another hot topic on his mind. “I’d like to be making babies but I’m not, so I’m making movies. When someone comes along I don’t think I’ll be able to do both and I’m fine with that. I’ll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen.”

Considering he’s on everyone’s wish list and has a bunch of projects in planning stages or well on the way, there’s a good chance we’ll see the DRIVE star on the screen for quite some time before he starts squirting out offspring, but let’s hope this was just a moment of introspection leaking from his lips. Or maybe he just thinks it’s all been downhill since starring in “Young Hercules.”
