Why is it so hard for THE GOON to get funding?

All of the elements of awesome are here: David Fincher producing, a great comic being brought into the world of animation, Clancy Brown and Paul Giamatti voicing the leads, and zombie head bashing. What’s not to like?

GOON creator Eric Powell tweeted this movie test footage today. The focus of the clip teaches us what to do if we encounter a slackjaw. Anyone got a rusty mailbox?
