Although best known for his early action extravaganzas like CLIFFHANGER, DIE HARD 2 and LONG KISS GOODNIGHT, director Renny Harlin has been traveling dangerously close to direct-to-DVD material in the past few years (CLEANER, THE COVENANT). Perhaps trying to reinvent himself, Harlin decided to take on a gritty real-life war drama — albeit complete with some of his trademark over-the-top explosive action. And his MINDHUNTERS co-star Val Kilmer.
