Tom Hanks confirms Toy Story 4’s existence

TOY STORY 3 appeared to be the perfect bookend for that franchise, an emotional and satisfying resolution for all Andy’s toys, but this is Hollywood, and the third film did make an absolutely insane amount of money, sooo why not continue the ride, right?

There has been almost no sequel talk as Pixar works on other projects, but Tom Hanks appears to have accidentally let the cat out of the bag on the BBC’s Breakfast News. When asked about the possibility of TOY STORY 4 he replied:

“I think there will be yeah. Yeah, yeah. They’re working on it now. There you go.”

Not only that he thinks there will be, but that he says they’re actually working on it? Sounds like confirmation to me. These movies do take years and years to craft, but it does make you wonder what exactly they’re up to. I suppose this series has more sequel potential than most, as the characters are entertaining doing anything (as seen in the Hawaiian Vacation short before CARS 2). So what will their next adventure entail?

Should they keep going with the series, or is this just a cash grab?
