First look at the Batman: Year One animated feature

I’m not a terribly big comic book reader (I know, call for my head on a spit since I work at a fansite like this), but even I’ve read through Frank Miller’s excellent Batman: Year One, and was excited to learn it was getting its own film.

No, it’s not a Nolan-made blockbuster, as it’s all animated, but it should still be interesting to see how it translates. The film stars Bryan Cranston and Ben Mackenzie, along with geek goddesses Eliza Dushku and Katee Sackoff voicing the principal roles, and we now have out first brief look at the film below.

It’s not a whole lot to go on, but it’s something. It’s altered from the original art style to be sure, but doesn’t look too shabby to me. What do you think?
