Brett Ratner’s building quite the eclectic cast for his upcoming caper film TOWER HEIST.
The latest to join the ever-growing crew is former BAD BOYS girl Téa Leoni (GHOST TOWN, JURASSIC PARK III) as well as newcomer Nina Arianda. The two will star opposite Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, and the recently announced Gabourey Sidibe (PRECIOUS) and Michael Peña (“Eastbound & Down”). What a seriously odd bunch.
According to Variety, “storyline revolves around a team of overworked operations and maintenance workers at a Manhattan luxury highrise who stage an intricately choreographed heist of its penthouse tenant, a Wall Street capitalist who defrauded the rank-and-file staff of their pensions.” The script comes courtesy of a bunch of writers – including Stiller bud Noah Baumbach (GREENBERG) of all people – but most recently rewritten by Jeff Nathanson (RUSH HOUR 2 & 3).
No production start date for TOWER HEIST has yet been announced, but the film is due out sometime next year.
