Wanna be a pickup artist but hate reading books? That’s okay, The Game is coming to theaters

I don’t know enough about Neil Strauss or the details of his book The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists, but I get the overall gist. What I think is funny is how many people on the internet think this guy’s a douche or that the things he’s generally saying (which any number of well-adjusted and sociable men would also tell you) are somehow scummy. Here’s the bottom line, fellas: No woman wants a guy without any self-respect.

So anyway, said book has been picked up by Lionsgate with Adam Sztykiel (DUE DATE) writing and Ari Sandel – who won an Oscar for his USC graduate film WEST BANK STORY in 2007 – in talks to direct.

The book, according to Variety, “recounts ‘an average frustrated chump’s’ attempts to become the world’s best pickup artist with the help of professional seduction experts.”
