Chris Bumbray caught a screening of LEAVES OF GRASS at the Toronto Film Festival and called it “one of the few truly disappointing films” at the 2009 fest. That’s a shame because I’ve always felt like Ed Norton (excuse me EDWARD Norton) was a guy who took himself so seriously, he could benefit from a big, goofy comedy. Sadly LEAVES though just doesn’t seem to be very funny.
The trailer for the film is online and it’s not doing much to help the film. It’s not particularly funny and it’s poorly edited and put together. The film is still without a solid distribution plan (theatrical release or straight-to-DVD?) and I doubt this is helping the case at all. Check it out below and let me know what you think.
