Guitar hero trailer

Before you get too excited (or angry), this is not a trailer for a movie based on GUITAR HERO. No, that project is still being cracked by Brett Ratner and his think tank. This is for a documentary called IT MIGHT GET LOUD, which chronicles three of the best guitar players in modern history (at least according to the film). The director was able to get Jack White (The White Stripes), The Edge (U2) and Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) to sit around, shoot the shit, strum the old six string and he taped it all for this film.

Even if you’re not fans of these guys (and I’m certainly not a fan of Edge/U2), I think you’ll still find it interesting if you’re a fan of rock. Watching Jack White construct an electric guitar with a block of wood, some nails and a coke bottle was fascinating. And hearing what Edge’s guitar sounds like without all the FX and distortion was eye-opening. The flick opens in limited release this August but check out the trailer below.
