Javier Bardem will take a break from being a bad ass or seducing Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson into a threesome to star alongside Julia Roberts in the upcoming romantic comedy EAT, PRAY, LOVE. Roberts will play a recent divorcee who embarks on a journey of self-discovery where she eats, prays and loves. Bardem will play the sexy hunk of a man she meets on the final “LOVE” branded segment of her journey. Richard Jenkins was previously cast as a man she befriends during the “PRAY” segment at an Indian ashram (what, she can’t fall in love with Richard Jenkins?). Ryan Murphy (RUNNING WITH SCISSORS) will direct the film (with Brad Pitt producing) based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert (who, with all due respect, looks nothing like Julia Roberts). Bardem recently signed on to star in the WALL STREET sequel with Shia LaBeouf and Michael Douglas but would work on EAT, PRAY, LOVE first.
