Bridget Jones musical

JoBloJoBlo

Times Online is reporting that the stars have aligned and Helen Fielding is adapting her novel BRIDGET JONES’ DIARY as a stage musical in the mold of previous smash hit Billy Elliot. This is obviously wonderful news in the world of James, since if there’s one thing I love more than fat chicks complaining about being fat chicks, it is people singing and dancing about it. There’s no mention about a subplot where I appear in a cage with a Predator while people pelt me with vials of smallpox, but I wouldn’t totally discount it since it is really the only logical next step.

Renee Zellweger, of course starred in the Oscar nominated film adaptation, back when she was vaguely relevant, and the film has since spawned a sequel, BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON.
