MYSTERY TEAM debuted at Sundance earlier this year and almost immediately became amassing a cult following. The film, which follows a trio of kid detectives who’ve grown into high school students still trying to crack the big case, got rave reviews from a generation of critics who grew up on “Encyclopedia Brown” or “The Hardy Boys.” Unfortunately, Sundance came and went and MYSTERY was still looking for a way to spread its love into theaters.
After screenings this spring played to packed houses in New York and Los Angeles, it became clear someone had a sleeper hit on their hand. That someone turns out to be Roadside Attractions who’ve closed a deal to give MYSTERY TEAM a theatrical release this fall. No word yet on exactly when this fall we’ll get a release but stay tuned for more info as it develops. And if you haven’t yet, check out the trailer for the film below.
